PGEC Receives ACRE Award

ACRE, the Action Committee for Rural Electrification, raises money and provides support to legislators who support electric cooperatives and their members. Prince George Electric’s 2015 ACRE achievements included 100 percent board Century Club participation, and 100 percent co-op management Century Club participation. The presentation was made at VMDAEC’s October quarterly board meeting in Richmond.

Holiday Helpers

Christmas is still weeks away, but the volunteers at the Fort Lee Holiday Helper Association (HHA) are all about Christmas 12 months of the year! Prince George Electric Cooperative is honored to partner with the HHA for this upcoming Christmas to assist in their goal of seeing that “no military child goes without”.

The Holiday Helper program accepts donations of new toys from infants to teens. PGEC’s management approved a donation which will be used to PGEC will take care of delivery to HHA!

GIS Update

Continued field work on PGEC's GIS project by Davey Resources will now shift to the general areas serviced by the Brickhouse substation. Areas include Jefferson Pointe Apts., The Crossings, Mica Dr., Allin Rd., Jefferson Park Rd. and portions of Middle Rd. Work is expected to begin around September 8, take about 3 weeks to complete, and may include weekends. Questions? Call 804.834.2424.

2015 Annual Members’ Meeting a Success!

The Annual Members’ Meeting for Prince George Electric Cooperative (PGEC) was held on August 24, 2015. Before the business meeting, members took advantage of displays highlighting the savings of LED light bulbs, energy efficiency, and the recently launched SmartHub online account management tool. Children of all ages enjoyed having their photo taken with CFL Charlie.

Changes to Terms & Conditions

In accordance with statutory notice requirements set forth in the Code of Virginia, please be advised that Prince George Electric Cooperative has amended its Terms and Conditions for Providing Electric Service. The Appendix A - Schedule F fee structure and the Schedule OL-8 Outdoor Lighting Service, have been filed with the Virginia State Corporation Commission. The new schedules will become effective September 30, 2015.

August 21, 2015 - Continued field work on PGEC's GIS project will now shift to the general areas serviced by our New Bohemia substation. Areas include Bull Hill Rd., Lee Acres subdivision, Courthouse Rd., Baxter Rd., King's subdivision and Prince George Woods Estates.
