Prince George Electric Cooperative will host its Annual Members’ Meeting in person on Thursday, Sept. 25. Doors will open at 4:00 p.m. to the membership at the co-op’s Waverly office.
As a member-owned electric cooperative, PGEC is governed by a board of directors who are members just like you. It is the responsibility of PGEC’s members to select, elect, and evaluate the Board of Directors by participating and voting in cooperative events, including the Annual Members Meeting. At this year’s meeting, you will have the opportunity to elect three representatives to the board.
Directors whose terms expire at this year’s Annual Members Meeting are as follows:
District 1 – Bland
Mr. Brian E. Coey
District 4 – Cobham-Blackwater
John M. Brock
District 6 – Stony Creek-Sussex Courthouse
Keith M. Dunn
If you cannot attend, please complete, sign and return your Proxy Designation Card located on the outside back cover of the September Cooperative Living magazine. The signed and completed Designated Proxy Card must be received by 3:00 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 25 to be valid.
During the meeting, President & CEO Sarat Yellepeddi will provide an update on the cooperative’s previous accomplishments and share information about moving PGEC forward.
Additionally, proxy participants will be entered into a door prize drawing for five prizes, each worth $250 in bill credits. Please note that members who attend the meeting in person will also be entered into a drawing for five additional $250 bill credits.
