Each year, the Education Scholarship Foundation awards $1,500 scholarships, in addition to other awards. Funds can be applied toward tuition, student fees, room and board, or textbooks.

I’m reminded that the true strength of our cooperative isn’t just in the power we deliver—it’s in the people we serve and the community we build together. This past year was a shining example of just how much we can accomplish when we work together. Your engagement, your ideas, and your support helped push our cooperative forward in meaningful ways, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve achieved as a community.

Co-op Spreads Holiday Cheer with Angel Tree Donation to Local DSS

In the spirit of the season, Prince George Electric Cooperative employees delivered holiday gifts to the Sussex County Department of Social Services as part of its annual Angel Tree initiative. The donation will help brighten the holidays for local children and families in need, ensuring they experience joy, comfort, and a little extra cheer this Christmas.

PGEC Employees Collect 800 Pounds of Trash During Annual Adopt-A-Highway Cleanup

Waverly, Va — October 17, 2025 — Demonstrating their continued commitment to community service and environmental stewardship, employees of Prince George Electric Cooperative came together for their annual Adopt-A-Highway cleanup, collecting 845 pounds of trash along the stretch of George Town, Spring Hill, Shingleton, Beaver Dam and parts of Walnut Hill Road.

State forecasts indicated above-normal temperatures in July and August, which meant our cooling systems have been working overtime. Prince George Electric Cooperative understands the challenges that come with fluctuations in your energy costs and encourages members to take advantage of the seasonal transition to reduce their energy stress.
